General

By placing an order with Holly K Studio, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions in full. These terms apply to all customized and personalized products and services provided by the company.

Return Policy

All personalized and custom-made product sales are final. Due to the personal nature of our products, returns, exchanges, or refunds are not accepted.

Customer Responsibility

The customer is solely responsible for:

  • Providing production ready artwork, text, colors, fonts, and specifications

  • Verifying spelling, grammar, layout, and design accuracy

  • Ensuring that all submitted content is correct and complete

Holly K Studio is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or unclear information provided by the customer.

Artwork Charges

If your artwork is not production ready, a one-time charge may apply.  The fee to prepare your artwork is $75.  

Non Production Ready Artwork includes:

  • Low resolution files

  • Full color logos

  • Logo files that are submitted in JPEG or PNG format (vector files are required)

Proof Approval

All orders will receive a complimentary proof 24 hours after order confirmation.  Production will not begin until written approval is received.  Approval confirms that the customer has reviewed and accepted the design in full.  Once approval is given, no changes can be made.  Any errors discovered after approval are the customer’s responsibility.

Revisions

In the event that a change needs to be made after receiving the complimentary proof, a $25 charge may apply for generating a new proof. 

Production Time

Production timelines are estimates and begin after final approval and payment are received. Holly K Studio is not responsible for delays caused by late approvals, design changes, supply issues, or circumstances beyond our control.  Due to supply chain circumstances and the personal nature of our business, rush orders are not accepted.

Payment Terms

Full payment is required before production begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.  Orders will not be released or shipped until payment is received in full.

Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only before production begins.  Any design or setup fees already incurred are non-refundable.  Once production has started, cancellations are not permitted.

Shipping Policy

We are based in Ohio and currently ship across the U.S. We do not ship out of the country at this time. Orders generally ship within 3-5 business days. We offer free ground shipping (1-5 business days) with orders over $100. If you prefer to upgrade your shipping, then you can select your preferred option and shipping charges for your order will be calculated at checkout.

Colors & Materials Disclaimer

Because wood, slate, and other natural materials vary in texture and grain, each piece will be uniquely its own. Small variations are part of the handcrafted process and add to the character of the final product.  Due to variations in screens, materials, and production methods, colors may vary slightly from digital proofs or previous orders.

Customer-Supplied Items

Holly K Studio may, at its discretion, accept a customer-owned item for engraving or customization.  Before accepting the item, we may inspect it, test the material, request product information or require a separate intake acknowledgment. Some coatings, metals, plastics, electronics, glass, plated surfaces and unknown materials may not be suitable for engraving.  If the customer supplies their own items for customization, Holly K Studio is not responsible for damage, loss, or defects in customer-supplied products.  No refunds or replacements will be provided for customer-owned items.

Intellectual Property

The customer confirms that they own or have permission to use all logos, designs, and artwork provided. The customer agrees to indemnify and accepts full responsibility from any claims related to copyright or trademark infringement. 

Limitation of Liability

Holly K Studio’s liability is limited to the cost of the product or service provided. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Refusal of Service

Holly K Studio reserves the right to refuse any order that:

  • Violates laws or intellectual property rights

  • Contains offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content

  • Cannot be reasonably produced

Acceptance

By placing an order, submitting payment, or approving artwork, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

The Short Version

Your privacy matters here. Holly K Studio collects only the information needed to process your order and communicate with you about it. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever. That is not what we are about.

  • Any personalization details you provide for your order — names, dates, messages, logos, and so on

If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your name and email address for that purpose only.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Process and fulfill your order

  • Communicate with you about your order status, questions, or custom project details

  • Send you tracking information and shipping updates

  • Send marketing emails if you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time

  • Improve our products, services, and website experience

We do not use your personalization details — the names, dates, and messages you share for your custom order — for any purpose other than creating your piece. Those details are yours and they stay that way.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. Ever.

We share limited information only with the third party services that help us operate our business:

  • Squarespace — our website and commerce platform, which processes orders and payments

  • Stripe and PayPal — our payment processors, which handle all card transactions securely

  • USPS / Shipping carriers — your name and shipping address are shared with the carrier to deliver your order

  • Shippo — if used for label printing, your shipping details are shared for that purpose only

  • Mail Meteor — if you have opted into our email list, your name and email are stored there

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and analyze traffic patterns. Squarespace manages this on our behalf.

You can adjust your browser settings to decline cookies, but some features of the site may not function properly if you do.

Your Information and Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Request that we correct inaccurate information

  • Request that we delete your information, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain records

  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send

Data Retention

We retain order information for as long as necessary to fulfill our legal and business obligations — typically in line with standard tax and accounting requirements. Marketing email lists are maintained until you unsubscribe or request removal.

Children's Privacy

Holly K Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. Our website and products are intended for adult consumers. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Our website may contain links to other websites — including our sister company Holly K Design at hollykdesign.com and our social media profiles. This privacy policy applies only to hollykstudio.com. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party sites you visit.
